CAMEL COTTAGE 866 (Sleeps 2)

Camel Cottage is a self-contained, fully furnished and equipped one-bedroom cottage, suitable for a single person or a couple centrally situated in Rondebosch in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.

The Victorian cottage has sash windows and shutters; a bathroom with bath and shower; a small carpeted living room with a Victorian fireplace; a sunny eating/work area and a newly fitted kitchenette with kettle, toaster, fridge, two-plate regular oven and microwave.

A sliding glass door (with security gate) opens on to a private, spacious north-facing courtyard, equipped with outdoor table, chairs and sun umbrella.

Please note that the cottage has a television but no telephone, and that guests are requested not to smoke indoors. Roadside parking.

Rates include:

linen, towels, soap, cleaning materials, basic kitchen supplies
ingredients (fruit, rolls, yoghurt, muesli) for a breakfast on arrival
weekly cleaning service
Guests staying longer than three weeks will be charged a supplement for electricity
Additional services: airport transfers, laundry and grocery shopping by arrangement.

Amenities:

Camel Cottage is close to Rondebosch main road (mini-bus taxis and bus service to Claremont centre and the city) and the train station. The line runs from Cape Town down to False Bay (stop at picturesque Kalk Bay harbour and fabulous Fish Hoek beach) round to Simonstown. (The penguin colony at Boulders Beach is in this area but is not accessible by train.)
The Riverside Shopping Centre, in walking distance, has an Internet café, pay phones, banks, post office, supermarket, coffee shop, bottle store, clothing shops, pharmacy, health shop and stationery shop. You will find flower sellers, Adesso coffee shop and a gift shop across the road. Laundromats and restaurants are situated a little further down Rondebosch main road

All the above amenities are very close by, and many of them are in easy walking distance

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden (Sunday sunset concerts during summer) is 10 - 15 minutes away by car, and all the attractions of the city centre are also 15 – 20 minutes away.
