Llandudno is a most beautiful family beach with soft white sand and bounded by impressive boulders. It is only 18 kilometres from Cape Town along a lovely scenic drive under the Twleve Apostle mountains. The waves are big and surfable although a wet suit is essential for the cold Atlantic water!

Llandudno is named after its namesake in Wales, Britain, there are some similarities but the local Cape town version takes some beating! Towards the Southern end of Llandudno is Sunset Rocks and from there a twenty minute walk will take you to the famous nudist beach of Sandy Bay. This beach is very inaccessible other than from Llandudno and is therefore quite private.

From Llandudno you can drive North along the coastal road to Camps Bay, Clifton and the V&A Waterfront - all about 20 to 30 kilometers away. Going South you pass through Hout Bay (here are the nearest shops and restaurants to Llandudno) and then onto the scenic Chapman's Peak Drive. It is well worth taking a drive along here to Noordhoek, Kommetjie, Scarborough and the Cape Point Nature Reserve.
